    If they increase the effective hits (from you bringing up earth) of Earth hitting Water to say x3 on damage (of course the same amount for every element) it would probably be a lot easier to deal with.
Another thing to keep in mind about MB is that yes, Root lasts for Round 1 and 2 with 100% resistance buff and immunity - but also if they are using Lightning Armor it will make them immune to debuffs. This can get confusing if the battles moving fast and you see "Immune to debuffs" pop over the MB's head.

It's also relevant to note that debuffs and ninjutsu isn't the only way to kill a ninja. Many MBs are countered by the same strategy, initiative permitting. An earth main front tank should basically negate a blitz team's strategy with optional talents to spare. I was able to choke a 140k bp player's blitz team by using the stacking def passive with sakura/tsunade and Akatsuchi to eat the other line of attacks.
