I'd say Kimimaro 3* is much better, but it all depends on your team and combos tbh.

The best outright tank is the earth main, but yeah, if we're talking non-main characters, I'd say Kimimaro. Him with a decent healer works great since he constantly gets tankier as he endures hits (like the earth main and Jirobo), works well with Kabuto since Kabuto deals 1dps to the team each time he uses his mystery. Also, let's not forget that Kimimaro deals decent dps with his skill and he blocks the first single target standard attack that hits him. Overall, I'd say he's far better than Jirobo.

Kidomaru and Jirobo are better for tanking while Kimimaro is a better attack tank. Reason being: Kimimaro without a healer will get put 6 feet deep in round 2 or 3 very quickly (If focused), but his mystery does decent damage and starts a combo.

With Jirobo, the guy can heal himself every time he gets chakra, which helps a lot with sustaining, but he is only useful with earth and water(extra heals and barrier can hit multiple people)

If you want a tank from the sound four, Kidomaru is probably the best tank out of the three. His mystery is good for poison tai teams and characters who do mostly ninjutsu (because he lowers resistance), he has a self-shielding passive and his chase causes poison.

All mains - Kidomaru
Earth and Water - Jirobo
All mains - Kimimaro

Agreed here. Kidomaru's damage is mediocre compared to Kimimaro, but he is arguably longer-lasting thanks to the shield. The exception here being when fighting Fire characters, I feel like they can mow through Kidomaru's shields like paper.
