I wouldn't say completely remove Dango from events and I can even make a case against removing it from the Wheel.
Regardless of how you think the worth of Dango is, there are people (Like Achroma) who consistently try out different moodset and change mains a lot. It's strategic and worthwhile for players.

You'll be surprised what you'll find when mooding a stat you thought wouldn't affect your ninja.
