I don`t think it`s hate, it`s more like personal opinion.
Some people just don`t like the designs because they`re character ripoffs, and I can understand that.

I`m still pumped for the new designs, the one I particularly like is Crimson.
Azure`s also really cute, but they`re using her for fanservice and that bothers me a bit as a water main.

Only Crimson fist got the facial hair makeover? Bu-but I wanna see Midnight Blade and Scarlet Blaze with a beard too ;P

These characters deserve more than just a browser game! Why couldn't they be playable in a console game that can be played offline?

They have awesome designs (both Part 1 & Part 2), plenty of costumes, tons of neat moves, lots of background info (likes, dislikes, hobbies, person they want to fight, even Blood Types!).... Hell, they're more developed than the majority of filler characters and even some of the more minor canon characters.

Why do they have to be confined to a browser game? Now i'm sad.....

Azure seems to have pulled off the look Sakura tried and failed with (Kinda like comes off like Korra)
Breeze has gone from meh, to motherly/leaderlike in appearance.
Crimson is really rocking that facial hair. (A bit like Iroh :loveliness: )
Midnight relatively looks the same but battle hardened... Appearance wise he went from loner to leader.

And then there's Scarlett... umm... others have said what I have to say about that appearance to death...

When they were about to give out some manliness to our boys, someone accidently sprinked most of it on Crimson and here he is, all so proud of that beard ;P

aaand instead of giving making our gals more feminine... they sprinkled it on scarlet :P

Regardless the designs for the rest of them look really nice.

I think it's about his hair mostly. Because when we compare that overal look to what we have now- posture, body build and all~ we can actualy see that Scarlet is growing up and don't look soo feminine anymore- like first impression from character choose list- oh 3 girl characters to play ;P Tho, he will stay a pretty boy to end of his days, I bet, and that's why many people actualy like him too :D After all there must be characters for everyone to like, not just all manly men like our beloved Crimson!
