I feel depressed just looking at how the LA spacetime turned out. Every player from server 14 onwards had been thrown in one giant bracket.

Only 8 players in s2* even made it to top 128. Flat out zero from s3* or later made it. 107 of the 128 players are lvl 89 or lvl 90.

By forcing players on newer servers to compete against 6+ month older servers, even players who spend over 1000$ per month has no chance of competing against old f2p players. The server age gap is far too large.

Before the top 128 was decided, you could see 40k power players on newer servers past rank 1000. Players of similar power and server age in other regions meanwhile, get to sit comfortably in top 50 in a much closer bracket in terms of server age.

Server 170 is still pretty old as far as the bracket is concerned. Servers in the 200s are much rarer. Servers in the 300s and 400s are thrown into same bracket; with no hope of even seeing top 128.

This is a typical bracket.. note the sheer number of 89s and 90s. What could a player in s3* do here without dropping 10k$? They would never have a hope of ever catching servers that much older.

I do not expect a 40k player to be king; but I do expect a 40k player to actually have a chance at top 128. Maybe not this event, maybe not the next event, but a month or 2 should be doable. In this current bracket, which has so many servers and players stuffed together; that 40k player would not have a glimpse of hope of ever seeing top 128.

I'm one of the 8 players in s2* that actually made it to top 128; (got way more than 40k lol). A friend who play in a UK server of the same age, easily got into top 10 (while having less power). Active players at 40k pow can get into top 128 pretty easily in that bracket; because they are not competing against servers many months older.

With the way this giant LA bracket (of S14 - s599 being the stated range) is setup, more than half of the servers in question does not even have a single participant in top 128.

  • how many people are even in that bracket tho? my bracket doesnt have a single 40k person in top 128 because stronger people are filling it(wish i was in ur bracket to steamroll everyone).

considering the amount of dead servers ur bracket may have less people than mine, half the people who quit later servers move to the earlier servers so its quite possible that u had that few people that they felt it best to merge so many together, they dont want just 300 people per bracket, that would give away too much and defeat the purpose of the first half of the system

im in s2 by the way
There are well over 1000 ppl in the bracket; I don't know exactly how many. When spacetime first started, where seeding placement was based on power, my alt at 42k pow started at rank 879.

Top 128 is mostly 55k+, with only a few below 55k. From rank 200 - 500 (which was what I could see with my alt for most of spacetime), it was just a giant sea of players between 45 - 55k. My alt, being 45k right after finishing ultimate training on day 1 of release, would frequently get kicked to the 400s while using mabui 1010 team. The activity rate is definitely there.

Since every server after 14 was sent to a single bracket; where would all the players from s3*+ go? A 30k player from s3* would probably not even get into top 1k.

  • Well, i am around 53k bp with my main team and i didn't make it to top 128 (UK) so it's different for everyone, i know some ppl with more bp than me who also didn't make it
The difference is, UK has more brackets. Players in much younger servers (s3*) are in a completely different bracket than the older ones; where they compete against other players of similar server age.

In LA, because servers with ages over half a year of difference are grouped together, players in the much younger servers will never, ever get a shot at top 128 in this current format. By the time those 30k players reach 40k; the 1000+ players of 40k+ would've moved up as well; leaving those new players forever in the dust.

The server age gap is just too big; and there is definitely enough activity to split this giant bracket into 2 while still have high competition.
