I reckon just save your coupons and only spend them to increase your power because ninjas will come to you eventually down the line. A bonus would be, taking advantage of the Rune Stone rebates and that Refine rune rebate. Save up all your Eight Gates chakra points and only spend it on initiative is important too.

By the time those events come and you've ac*ulated quite a few coupons, medium refine runes, and purifications from a variety of activities, you will eventually end up with quite a bit of power and initiative.
