The game was fine when it first came out, and people enjoyed it. But as time went on, many players started becoming dissatisfied with the game, their dying servers, and lack of things to do on the game. Many servers, even very young servers that have been around since the game started are dying and losing population quickly. No one wants to play when there is no one to play with, and no one wants to play when shady things of the company is revealed to the community. Especially with the bad PR oasis tried to pull off.

Actions speak louder than words. Unless players actually quit and stop spending, or the big spenders actually chargeback the money they've spent, then oasis won't do anything until they notice it actually happening.
