Are Group Activity Rewards Collected Automatically?

As the title says, are group activity rewards collected automatically? One of my group members claims that it automatically happens every Monday, while I just assumed that it was lost if it wasn't claimed.

Yes, it adds to group fund, but no, not contribution.

Would have to leave at least one box unclaimed, record coin amount when you go to bed etc on Sunday and compare coin with when you login on Monday. I might test it if I remember, but result is a few days out even if I do...
