The Jonin medal is mostly just an early server bonus when levels come fast as hell. Other than that it's literally just a time saver. Bonus exp from plot and elite instances is literally non-existent when they only give a few thousand exp. The bonus coins from survival are nice but not game breaking. The best parts about the Jonin medal are the fact that you get more stamina from the hot springs and that you can instantly complete dailies and instances with wait timers, stages and ninja exam. Other than that it really does nothing after like level 50 when it slows down a bit. If you really thing that people who bought jonin medal are beating you because of just that then you obviously don't understand the game at all.

Also, as people have said, it is a freemium game but it's definitely one of the more forgiving ones to F2P players because you rarely get every bonus all at once. Spending in Naruto Online usually means you are only getting one thing, stats or ninjas, not both. Also, 80% of the ninjas are, realistically, obtainable to all players, spenders just get them earlier.

If you go even a week in any other browser game though, you'll see a world of difference. What $100 does here and what it does over there is disgusting. If someone spends $100 in most other games they get a huge power spike, characters that are exclusive to paying players, which won't be defeated by any free player until months into the game, and they get VIP benefits. So would you rather play the game where players have to pick and choose carefully what they want unless they can spend thousands to get both or the game where you can become a god and get it all at once?

  • you're missing the point...i mean congrats on your 80% of the ninjas you got when the rest of 20% are the meta creators...Now you misunderstood me, my point was this:- even if you are a collector, you'll never get them all, and if you want to win you'll most likely need those ninjas, the fact that you can get 80% of them does not mean jack sh*t in the game, because no matter how you put it, you'll always lack the essentials
So what the hell do you actually want then? You originally made the post to whine about medal. Then when people who have paid and have not paid but put in time both say it isn't game breaking you then turn and whine about not getting EVERY ninja. Then when we point out you can get a vast majority over time you whine about how those aren't the strongest ones and leave you out of the meta. It seems there is just no pleasing you. You, me and everyone else playing knew full and well coming into this game that it was a freemium game. That there is no way to compete for the number one spot without spending. However, many a player are still able to have fun and play at their own pace without complaining about so many different things. Top 20 or so is more reasonable and realistic but it sounds to me like you just can't handle not being able to keep up with those who are spending on every level.

Also, you clearly didn't even stop to think about what you were saying. I said that about 80% are obtainable by purely F2P means and, as someone else pointed out, their numbers came pretty * close. I never said you will get the best ninjas at the time by being F2P but you will still eventually get the majority of the ninjas in the game. You even said yourself that some of them could take you a year to get which, unless my grasp of the English language is somehow lacking, literally means you can earn them F2P over time. Which is exactly what I said.

Originally I didn't post to argue but it has become quite apparent that the real issue here is your patience and not balancing. Would I agree that F2P players are a bit behind in some opportunities? Yes, yes I would. However, they are by no means completely shut off from having a chance against low-moderate spenders, especially against someone who ONLY has the medal difference. If you play the game smart and use resources wisely then you set yourself up for a much better experience but then the real issue arises, which I think you as an individual would fail at, and that's being patient.
