As for their reasons for leaving, I just feel like... well, like you've successfully displayed your group's dirty laundry for everyone to see in order to feel better about it.
Do you expect to gain support on this when you haven't even tried to talk to them?
If I were a member of group A, I'd be sad, maybe a bit tilted, NOT posting on the forum about things that should be kept in the server.
This, however, makes me sad because it's distasteful, mean and just plain ugly.

Before I fly away, I'm just going to go and give a shoutout to the group B for not getting involved in this *storm, the server 96 thanks you.
