Hashirama and Tendo pain are excellent ninjas go for them, they will be useful for various instances and group fights. People saying wait for this or for that have no idea when Tendo pain shards will be available and by that time you might have gotten him already. The regular and rare ninjas in the tendo chest arent the strongest, that is true, but drawing from that treasure is still the best and cheapest way to get Hashirama and Tendo pain, currently. My advice is not to wait for magical unicorns to appear that will shower you with super rare ninja shards, and get what you want.

Tendo pain isnt great in 1v1 pvp, he never really was, BUT turn 1 Tendo pain compositions are beastly in the great ninja war and are still used to this day in many groups in china. Furthermore, doing stuff like team instances becomes a breeze with the use of Tendo teams. Do not underestimate the value of Tendo pain. He is worth 800 seals and certainly worth the gamble of 400.
