Hi! I've never really tried writing fanfiction before so here's my first attempt XD Since it's sure to have lots and lots of flaws, suggestions are welcome. I only sort of have an idea where I'm going with this so things may get weird...I haven't concretely come up with the setting or time period, but I'll be including Naruto characters. It's kinda AU but kinda not...if that makes sense...
I will be trying not to center on any one character as they are all awesome (^-^)b As for ratings I think T is safe and an overestimate of where I will go, but better safe than sorry XD

Chapter 1: The First Arrival (Again)
"You and your fussing! If you had listened to me then we could have gotten her to the hospital by now!"
"You big oaf! This is your fault to begin with! I bet you'd only make things worse-"
"Look...her eyes are opening..."
"Hasu?? Hasu??"
Hasu?
Everything was blurry. A vague mass of yellow appeared in the girl's line of vision. A few more blinks and the fuzzy blob transformed into neatly tied blond hair and concerned blue eyes underneath. The groggy girl slowly began to raise herself off the ground when she winced, holding a hand to her head. "Whoa there, not too fast," a rough masculine voice said. "Take it easy!" A gentle arm helped raise the girl up to a sitting position, and the blond held her hand on the other girl's shoulder to steady her. "How're you feeling?" she asked worriedly.
The blue haired girl tested her legs. No, there was nothing wrong there. It was just her head. "I feel okay, just a bit dizzy..." The blond and the large man behind her gave a collective sigh of relief. "Geez, Ayaka...getting us all worked up over nothin-"
"Um...I'm guessing my name is Hasu?"
The two of them froze and stared at one another, wide-eyed. "Mhm...you were saying, Senju Takeshi?" the female said icily. "N-no way..." the big man named Takeshi stammered. Ayaka wasn't even listening to him anymore and had her arm wrapped around Hasu's waist. "Come on. Poor baby...we'll get you checked up at the hospital immediately, okay?" she said soothingly. Hasu, as the girl now assumed really was her name, almost stumbled but was caught by her new...friend? "O-okay..."
Takeshi raced behind them, awkwardly mumbling out apologies every few steps. Along the way he turned back to face the stony-faced figure that the two girls had overlooked. "Coming, Koji?" The silver-haired male's eyes narrowed. "Ah. I'll catch up with you later." There was a flash and he was gone, but Takeshi was already too far off to spare his friend another glance.
Meanwhile, at the hospital, Ayaka had swiftly hailed her friend, Ino, down. Within seconds, the medical ninja was prodding Hasu's agonizingly tender head. Nevertheless, Hasu obediently answered all questions put to her by this new girl about vision, hearing, simple calculations, and pain. At last, Ino leaned back with a sigh. "Well...all the important functions are unimpaired. She can think and reason all right. But that bruise isn't going away anytime soon and she doesn't seem to remember anything..." Hasu followed all of this dialogue, staring at the two girls intently, since they seemed to know what they were doing. "There's not much more I can do, except give some painkillers," Ino continued.
"Um..." At Hasu's uncertain voice, Ino and Ayaka turned to look at her. "Can I uh...let anyone at home know about this?" Her family, whoever they were, were sure to be worried about her, right? She was confused to see Ino glance at Ayaka, and Ayaka shake her head. "Well, Hasu...you're not from here," Ayaka said calmly to try to keep the girl from panicking. "We don't know your family."
It took Hasu a few moments to process this. "My last name would-" "Nope, we didn't even get a family name out of you before the accident." Hasu took a deep breath. Okay, not the end of the world. Someone surely knew something about her. "So then, how did I-" "I'd advise against tasking yourself so hard at this point," Ino interrupted though she gave the girl a sympathetic smile. "You should wait until things settle down a bit. I can guarantee you won't forget anything more unless maybe you get hit again." Here, Ayaka shot a pointed look at Takeshi, who chuckled nervously and ran a hand through his rusty orange hair. "So you have everything to gain by taking a break."
"Yeah, you could stay in my home until you recover," Takeshi put in. "After all, I owe you one."
Ayaka huffed. "As if I'd let you. Hasu is going to stay with me to recover safely."
Takeshi was hesitant. He did want a chance to redeem himself for his clumsy blunder, which Ayaka understood. Really, he was so simple to read. "It's okay, Takeshi, you can visit her and make it up to her later. But it's much more convenient for her to come live with me."
"Hm...I guess so..." the giant said, rubbing his chin. "I guess that works, then."
Ayaka gave a sigh of relief. "Right, that's settled, then. I'll take her home now. Ino, could you drop by and check on her too?" Ino nodded from where she stood. She'd selectively stopped listening when Ayaka and Takeshi started their small squabble, which was an easy trick for her by now.
With that, Ayaka began leading Hasu out, who was looking more and more lost by the second. "So...the big guy, his name is Senju Takeshi...and you're...?"
"Namikaze Ayaka," the girl responded promptly. "You wouldn't think it to look at that guy, but he's related to the the First Hokage. Me, well that would be the Fourth Hokage," she said with a proud smile. Hokage? That did sort of ring a bell...maybe. Or was she just imagining things? It didn't take long for her head to start pounding so she abandoned thinking altogether.
The rest of the walk to her supposed acquaintance's home passed by like a fog and she only really noticed when Ayaka paused in front of a house. "Welcome home~"
