However, the group chat opens just fine and you can see the group messages. It seems to me that, if this is not a feature, It would be much easier to chat with friends if the PM box worked the same way as the group chat box. I'm not just missing something, right? Thanks for any feedback or advice you might have for me. JLol Reply

Thanks for the tip Azura. But I agree with Crimson95, the reason I'd like a PM tab is because I can't PM any of my non-group friends while I'm in battle unless I can find their name in one of the other chat tabs. It doesn't make much sense to me that they have the message box only able to appear when you have a pending message. It should appear just like the Group Chat when you click on it. Or at least have a PM tab in the normal chat window.
