I'm so sorry for the super late update (almost 2 months. ;;)
My drafts got deleted when my computer crashed and let's just say procrastination also got the better of me..? <:3_60:>
Again, I apologise and here's part two without further ado!
*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*
"Enjoy your date with Temari-san, Shikamaru-sempai!~" Azure yelled and she grinned when a horrified look appeared on the male's face while the blonde girl from their sister school, Suna-Gakuen was just stunned.
"This isn't a date! It's an official meeting, Azure Fang!!"
Ignoring the Nara, the cheeky girl shrugged. "It's too troublesome to say such a mouthful. Plus, didn't you know 'official meeting' is a common excuse for the four-letter word 'd-a-t-e'?~"
With that, Azure ran off, giggling to herself. This was more fun than she had expected. So far, she managed to get her favourite senior Haruno Sakura to eat lunch with Uchiha Sasuke.
It was pretty difficult to get a hold of Sasuke, being known as a gifted loner that rarely spoke to anyone except for his teammates and the teachers but with the help of Midnight, Azure got a list of Sasuke's usual hangouts.
Of course, that help came with a small sacrifice since this was Midnight Blade after all. So a deal was made, consisting of a promised tempura (Midnight's ultimate weakness) lunch box and two tickets to an amu*t park.
It was all worth it in the end, seeing the smiles on her seniors' faces and an adorable moment when Sakura plucked a leaf from Sasuke's hair and how awkwardly silent the two of them were after that.
The next pair was Sai and Ino, who were pretty easy since Ino already has a crush on the famed painter. So all Azure had to do was to coax Sai into playing a game of 'Pocky' with Ino and it was absolutely amusing to watch the blushing and fiery bits.
"Now for the last two..." Azure rubbed her hands eagerly, the last two boys on her list that don't have a romantic interest. Azure knew that Crimson Fist was surprisingly popular with girls due to his gentle ways and his trustworthiness, this was why she wasn't so worried about him getting a date since she knows about how his reliability firsthand.
Rather, it was the 'class clown' otherwise known as Scarlet Blaze whom Azure was troubled with. That guy was somewhat of a narcissist, always commenting about himself and looking at the mirror. Moreover, he was short. Even shorter than girls of his age and that was an instant turn-off. Add pulling random pranks with his Genjutsu skills during spar tests and his sensibility that may be important during battles but drives anyone nuts after being corrected by him every time, Scarlet was absolutely hopeless in getting a Valentine's date.
Fuming more as she thought about the fire type, Azure didn't realised she had reached her destination at the school gym. She knocked on the door and entered the room. Sure enough, Crimson was there scratching his head and wondering what should he do with the bundle of presents he received from his fan base.
"As expected of our Crimson!" Azure piped up and she grinned cheekily as a slight blush covered the redhead's face.
"It's a bit embarrassing to hear that but I'm kind of happy actually..." Crimson mumbled, thoroughly embarrassed with Azure's praise. He then smiled fondly at the gifts before turning back to her. "So, what's up?"
"Well, umm... I made too much chocolates and thought maybe you'll like some but I don't think you need any," Azure pouted, before handing over a chocolate box with Crimson's name written on it. "Here, Happy Valentine's Day."
"Thanks! I appreciate it!" Crimson said and he accepted the chocolate. He then continued.
"I can help you with those extras if you want-"
"No thanks, I won't let you take them!" A familiar voice cut off Crimson before he could finish his sentence. Scarlet leaned against the door, looking calm as always. He then walked towards Azure, grabbing her arm.
"Sorry, let me borrow her for a moment."
"Huh?! Scarlet wait-"
"Okay, no problem!" Crimson waved off as he watched his friends leave the gym. Perhaps Scarlet had decided to take the initiative like a real man? If that's the case, the lectures that Crimson gave must be working on his buddy.
Guy-sensei's teachings were always inspirational and Crimson still could hear his manly words: 'You're right, all efforts are pointless... If you don't believe in yourself.'
Crimson nodded in agreement while he imagined Guy saying these words and he folded his arms, smiling.
"Scarlet, you're a real man now. So good luck to you and believe in yourself."
"What's with you all of a sudden?" Azure demanded when Scarlet let go of her. This wasn't him to interrupt a conversation like that, was something wrong?
"Listen. I don't like you going around giving chocolates to other guys."
"Huh?? Scarlet, what's wrong? Are you sick?" Azure raised her hand to touch the other's forehead and he brushed it away.
"I'm trying to be serious here. You just don't get it do you?"
Azure s* her head, confused. What on earth was he rambling on and on about?
"I like you."
Azure's heart skipped a beat and she couldn't believe what she was hearing. "Wait. You-?"
"Like I said, I like you Azure. Romantically that is. Don't make me repeat my words, idiot."
"I'm not an idiot!" The reply was quick, being a natural response Azure was used to saying. The feeling of shyness and embarrassment was very new on the other hand, especially when she noticed how red Scarlet's face was. His red eyes were so clear, just like a mirror made of ruby. Had they always been that way? Since when?
"I... I don't know what to say. I'm sorry, I-"
"It's fine. I won't force you to accept my feelings." Scarlet said in a quiet voice, putting his hands in his pockets.
"Can I... Still have the other chocolates?"
"Mmm." As the chocolates were given, a very new exchange of feelings took place in them. Azure did get the entertainment to '*e things up' in this Valentine's Day after all. The whole bittersweet wave of emotions and a confession she never expected. Next Valentine's Day definitely won't be boring.
