Her new mystery is really strong, not in damage but in what it does. It gets rid of Lightning's Root of the Warrior and his Anbu Special Tactics, It gets rid of Earth Main's Shields and any power ups, It neutralizes Fire main's Shield and immunity mystery. It gets rid of Hinata's mystery (It's like she never used it), It gets rid of all the barrier nin's boost to stats, and it probably does more that I haven't tested. What do you think of her new mystery compared to the other main's new mysteries or just in general?

Lol. Like someone said above, it's not strong. It just counters the MB Root meta. Now us winds have a chance against lightning.

you get buff/shield despell if you invest ~200 scrolls and use han in your team yes

I cant remember where i read it or heard it but alot of chinese players were complaining about kagebuff stacking so the next wave of ninjas were to counter kages.

Well it's clearly the wind main that has the best new mystery.

The chakra wall for earth is * but you can maybe do something like transforming your earth main in some sort of tanky mabui but i'm not convinced.

Azure fang got the same as wind but it is monocible and has a cool down so it's pretty much worthless in my opinion.

Lightning and fire new mysteries are pretty average too but can be useful i guess. Never played these two characters.

you are so wrong on nearly all you said:

wind: its an ok mystery that is atm good cause we have the root of warrior metagame
earth: just ask people who run teams like 9tails naruto/bee/gaara or any high chakra t2 nuke team about this mystery (its awesome)
fire: the only thing that make fire playable atm and its so good that its the main reason why the Sage Naruto/Danzo/Iruka (or a variant with Sage Jiraiya) is a good team
water: you are half correct about this one, its lackluster but can be an interresting to use mystery because it costs only 20 chakra (and it starts a combo what wind's doesnt do) This post was last edited by Syldor at 2017-2-21 09:41

disagree on what you said with fire, fire is super good with the right team, and i think he is moreo n the contol side instead of damage and dps.

The thing is, the skill is pretty much only useful against RoW lightning main, against every other main I'd rather have dance so I c*e my mysteries which contains interrupt in the works to just stop my enemy and deal damage to their face.

So if you are complaining that this mystery is too strong, aren't you REALLY complaining that RoW is too strong and too meta for this skill to even be a "thing"?

The cleanse and mystery refresh is by far the best wind main skill sand dust is strong but it's pretty niche unless everyone running mb with root. And then it doesn't always hit all the targets you need it to hit .

same here, almost everyone at jonin level of arena is running some combination of Mei/Mabui/Gnw Tenten/Ao/WaterMC/WindMC

I actually found that Mei/Mabui/GNW Tenten/WaterMC was bad for Arena as you cna't just burst everyone as easily so I ended up swapping to Sage Naruto, Sailor Sakura, Killer Bee, WaterMC with Poison Tai/Neurotoxin. Works really well because if they don't focus Sakura she gets unkillable, and if they do focus here Sage Naruto kills them.

Remember, this isn't a thread discussing if lightning is OP or if lightning IS the meta, it's a thread about sage art sand dust. And in the end, the mystery isn't useful in many servers and isn't the "root" of the problem in other, therefore the mystery is not over powered.

I don't really agree with this. I know someone that runs sand dust. At first, it was just to counter root teams, but after using it they said you don't really notice how many teams run buffs. Sand Dust does alot more then just remove root, it removes all buffs. That is a big hit to any team, not just root. My server has alot of Iruka/Mabui/Konan teams that run around for the shields to get their team into round 2. Being able to make those ninja pointless is huge.

However, I run a root team, and it is something that can ruin my day. Only real problem with it is I run a stop in slot 2 or 3, and most windmains are in slot 3 or 4, meaning they don't get it off. But when my friend puts their wind main to counter me (slot 2 or even slot 1) it does really ruin your team when you are running ninja that need those buffs to do any real damage.

The thing is that sand dust is not a generically useful mystery, but a counter mystery. Ofc, the foremost thing it counters is the lightning RoW, what you describe are other teams that it counter. However, there are also a lot of teams that doesn't run many buffs. Personally I'd only consider sand dust worth using over dance if the enemy team have 3 or more buffs, because at 2, chances are the dance will be more effective if the battle last more than 3 turns. That said, usually main carries a buff and some ninjas like iruka effectively gives 2, so it's not THAT hard to reach 3. Still, only some teams meet the par and it's not universal.

This makes the sand dust very effective if you know who you are going to up against, which means survival (too easy to even matter), plunder and wanted hunting. In most other cases, you don't really know your opponent beforehand and therefore it becomes a gamble. And with gambles, you win some you lose some, it counters some teams and get countered by others, that's actually good game state where no team is supreme. Of course, there are cases where it's not much of a gamble if there are only a few players of concern to think about (everyone else you either beat or get beaten easily) and ALL of them run a certain style of team, then you can go in knowing what would be the most effective. But that's not true in every server/case and is probably a problem in the meta state of the server than anything else.

Rock isn't op, it just counters scissors. If too many people play scissors, the question would be why not play paper.

I'm not saying anything is OP. Every thing has a counter to it, you just have to find it. I honestly don't care if I win or lose. (Sometimes I give out free ranked arena wins). So for me I like it because its just fun. (for me). It is a counter but it counters quite a bit of things. Though what surprised me the most was that it countered Hinata (Ay, Gaara and the puppet users were the only things I thought countered her mystery). In the end this is a game and games are just about having fun (We all have fun differently.)

Does it counter hinate? that I didn't know....
Thou there are other counters, anything with a non-standard attack does, like narutos, kibas and I think certain attacks of some main character.
