It goes without saying that we should be careful what we wish for...
Been asking for the cross server for Matsuri since the beginning and ever since we got it, it's had more complaints than ever before, but tonight, I have no words for tonight. I'm in S175 at level 83 with a BP of 39k which I'm happy with to be fair, but when the Matsuri challenge puts you up against a player from S65 with a BP of 70k...WHAT?!

What did you do OASIS? Make Matsuri challenge one server in which EVERY player from EVERY server can fight against each other?! Did you even think about the fact that newer servers will have NO CHANCE in this event? Here's an idea, no more cross severed Matsuri for the merged servers. The biggest problem with Matsuri for a single dying server is no fights, the problem with a cross server Matsuri challenge is having to fight against level 85's with 80k BP, we now have 3 servers merge in most parts, I think that's more than enough players now to not have cross servered Matsuri in these parts.

Matsuri is *. Its is really bad balanced and 50 revive potions per death? Meh. They could atleast change something, like using just your main Lineup and a number of 10 fights (at the max). This way, you wont need to worry about losing ninjas and can still "comeback" since its a 50/50.

The thing is. Who do you want that 70k bp to fight? Noone because noone is near them? There is an advantage of being top or near top power. Stop begging for them to make every fight perfect. Its a little wonky, Im 42k and i fought so far 28-35k 12times. 42-44k like 4 times. and 50k-60k 3 or 4 times. But if all the other people 42k are already in fights..well thats how that goes.

Basically the majority of players over 70% are around 25k-35k. So if your in that bracket, your chance of fighting higher then you is only 30%, but fighting lower then you is probably at best 10%. However for someone with a power level of 60k, they have a 70% chance at least to fight someone way less then them. Its not perfect, but its sure as hell better then never fighting anyone. Your not supposed to win 5 fights in a row if your near the bottom rung. Plus revive potions are so easy to get. I have around 1k+

Basically everyone who was 30k in matsuri is happy, they might die just the same, but at least its not always that big spender on the server murdering them 4x in a row. As for people 45k, well its a bit of a tossup, if youve won 2-3 you might want to use a backup team for sure. The way the implemented this stuff..the bugs..its poor, but the mechanics are "kinda" fair to everyone, including the top 200 players with huge power level. Compared to being fair to only the 30k power people and fu 50k+

Before Xserver, every server had a handful that always wins.
After Xserver, only a handful between ALL server (of each region) would always win.

I'd say overall it's better.
While not THE top power of my server, I am roughly the 4th to 7th, and my server is fairly populated and active. This meant I almost always won 5 w/o Xserver. Now, I have to work for it, almost ever masuri my fate is ultimately decided by the 1 or 2 fair fight I get (with rest being a slaughter one direction or the other). Can it be better? Sure. But it is certainly already better than w/o Xserver.

I wonder how many people complaining about masuri are the top power of their server, just hurt now that they can actually lose.

Im at the top of my server, i keep getting all 5 wins in every single matsuri, and still i find it a * joke when i get someone with 36k+ power than me and then a level 63 with 30k- than me. So that argument is kinda of * and they should improve the matchmaking, period.

The only way to improve match making is to make it longer, which I can accept personally but not sure about others.

The thing we need to realize is just how few people are Qing at the same time. Between the fact that people do it at different time within the event (the 3 hour limit is SOOOOO not helping, spread people too thin), the fact that we are in the very least segregated by region so it's not 300 servers but more like 50-100 in each, and the fact that the people who are fighting at same time as you are mostly doing the fighting part instead of the Qing part, frankly at any given moment there probably wont even be a dozen people Qing, and given the power spread of players, close match are going to be rare.

Increasing the Q time will increase the ratio of Qing vs fighting player for the active participating player pool of any given period of time, and therefore allow a bigger waiting Q pool, and thus better match making. Increase it to say 2 min on average will probably increased the matching pool by at least 5 times.
But I'm not sure how people will feel about waiting a total of 8 to 16 extra minute total in Q, I have no problem with that but some might not like it.

I agree with you. I wouldnt mind to queue for 2 minutes and get a good match, than to get in a fight after 5 seconds and destroy the player or get destroyed. And since they have 3 hours to do the event, i dont think that making the queue a bit longer would disrupt anything. (3 hours is too * long for an event like these where matchmaking and player pool is important)

Matsuri would be perfectly fair if they introduce one simple string of code that says: if you retreat against somebody 10k+ higher pow than you or if you get wiped out in less than 3 rounds by somebody 10k+ higher pow than you then you don't lose any ninja.

anyone reasonable strong (say lv 80+) would probably get 5 wins easy that way. They'll get like 3-5 fights where they retreat etc and doesn't lose any ninja, 1-3 fair fight to fight out that doesn't even matter, and 3-5 fights where they can win easy due to 10k+ difference the other way(enemy retreat or whatever)

A simple line of code that requires BOTH players to be in the que for more than 1 min for random matchmaking will already make matsuri a much better place. Clicking battle and instantly getting into a battle against someone 30k pow higher or lower than you is just plainly wrong.
