99% of ppl here doesn't know the difference between a forum moderator and a developer.
50% of the ppl here are jobless, which is not that bad a thing but they are so dependant on bashing the game that they make it their first priority in their life. sad life i would say. Go out guys, make something else as ur first prio, learn and try getting a job, its hard but its rewardful in the end.
40% of the ppl here wants compensation for something that everyone couldn't do, not that the compensation will really help them but just for arguing sake, they want compensation.
glad to see atleast 1% sensible ppl here. You guys have seen a lot, you must be laughing everytime at these replies na :P :D -

- I am a software developer too, and what we do is to do pull the latest copy of the server to our localhost, test server, staging server and do all the test there before posting on the production. No testing should be done on production except if there is no other choice. It is all about good and bad practices and the management willingness to make sure the servers are up and running. if the management really wants no downtime, they can just tell the dev to come up with the staging servers.
Depending on the upgrade, it could go for a day or two. Updates like you mentioned are not on that a bigger scale. And yeah its just event update for this game, it shouldn't take more than 30min(pull plus a small test) if they have already done the testing on their staging/test server. I am guessing that testing is not being done and they use the production server directly. Who knows. But everytime a new event comes, they take a lot of time. Its just like you said, bad practices. -

i know it's up but there are no events because maintenance hasn't started yet , it will start when we will try to do plunder , i know u aren't wrong when u said those statistics and i can't believe ppl don't understand what u meant but the statistics are clearly wrong. i can tell you 95% of ppl don't ever go to the forums to vent what you are seeing is a vocal minority also when you mention that 50% have no job did you know that most of the players are still in school? majority of the playerba
se isn't even 18 so of course they dont have jobs. you pulled your statistics out of thin air but that isn't the problem here .
I'm not against them having a delay right now , we don't know their practices or how they handle their server , we don't know how many workers they have and so on. However when they can't do some stuff it's ok to hire more people to help them with their job or find volunteers i'm sure enough people love the game enough to go out of their way to help the developers ( not with programming because its risky for ppl who have no experience ) in any possible way ( we know ppl already spend thousands of $ on the game because they love it , but mods believe 1k $ is nothing affirmed in a recent post by daiske).
They make enough money that the critisim from a vocal minority isn't fazing them . What i don't like is that some people praise them for mistakes which is unreasonable and is just asking for getting bad threatment in the future because they know u don't mind it

one thing i will say, devs nor mods earn the money from the game, its the owner(whoever that is). situation of devs for these companies are terrible. a % of the profit MAy be given to them if they are lucky. else they usually get a fixed salary. the moment one starts appreciating their employees , thats when you get a better experience.
there is no point for members bashing anyone here, its just not going to work. from what i have seen mods are doing their job fine. they let us know what is being told to them. They dont make up lies for fun. community mods experience here is so much better compared to many other forums. one just have to realize everyone's roles. just dont take the game to heart is what i would say to all. play and have fun. cheers -

1. Well... mby it was up with events for you but for most of the people the servs werent even taken down yet atm.
2. If you rly think everythng is so good here you had to be playing pretty *ty games so far I think.
games i play has nothing to do with forums. i didnt even talk about the game. do you even read what i write or you just talk nonsense all the time?

tbh its boring now from you. the same * every time. they didnt fix anything for a long time? ok. who is forcing you to play. quit then and go play a game which you feel is better.
you have been talking about ppl quitting on every thread now, its high time you quit. be a man :P
