I don't really see a lot of people using normal hidan as their main team (Well i did but i think it's with a LIGHTNING main + Kimmaro + ???(I forgot)), but i do see him quite a bit in ranked battle. He's not very good and will eventually be useless as we get more powerful ninjas (don't focus on him too much (no need max awaken/ cultivate/ moods etc...)
About pairing him with other ninjas, you can basically just test it out in ranked battle anyway

Side note: I'm lv 83 and i still don't have Kakuzu yet..... (I don't think Kakuzu is good enough for me to waste the tokens on him) and like NO ONE uses him on a main team..
