Hi,
During level 1-70 I avoided refining and purifying gear for 1 ninja, just to keep my initiative as low as possible on move 4.
Reason for this was to make sure I always was the last person casting barrier in PVP.

Now that I'm 70+ and got auto-barrier ninjas, should I still avoid refining gear for that 1 ninja, or should I start upgrading?

this makes no sense.
Did a few tests where both barrier poppers were stand at the exact same spot, same move.

Player 1 vs Player 2
Test 1: Gaara 71 init, Onoki 85 (Gaara win)
Test 2: Oniki 1500 init vs Onoki 700 (Onoki 700 win)
Test 3: Onoki 700 init vs Onoki 2100 init (Onoki 2100 win)
Test 4: Onoki 71 init vs Onoki 2100 init (Onoki 2100 win)
Test 5: Onoki 1500 init vs Onoki 85 init (Onoki 85 win)

Player 2 always wins, anyone know what is going on?

Edit*
As for using 2 barrier ninjas in same team, the one on the lowerst move (1 > 4) gets the barrier no matter what the Init seems to be.

Is the barrier ninja's priority calculated in another way?
* Combined init of all ninjas
* Seed based on player ID

Same question for Arena, how is the barrier user determined?

  • Auto barriers depends on the whole team's total initiative.

For instance, say you have mei with an init of 2000; your opponent has danzo with an init of 1500. However the total init for your team is 3000 while your opponent's total init is 6000. Even though your barrier ninja's init is much higher than your opponent's barrier ninja. His barrier will overwrite your barrier because his team's total init is higher.
That makes sense. In this case, player 2 always had a higher combined init than player 1.
Thank you!
