1. Take your time (There is zero reason to rush leveling)

2. Strengthen your gear (you run into money troubles when you spend too much time rushing to level up)

3. Keep characters cultivated and awakened up to your level (You will gain food and cult runes quickly over time if you're not leveling so fast)

4. Figure out which Team Instances give the best Ninja tools for your level and start collecting them and building them up (I have all gold tools at about LV14 each currently)

5. Do your best to get as high as you can in exams, Magatama are vital, if you're just starting out there is no reason not to fuse lv1s into level 2, however get level 2 Magatama on every piece of gear for your team BEFORE you start making Level 3's, and then repeat the cycle for each level of Maga.

6. Save your coupons and only ever do 50 runs in Mystery cave at a time (Once all your runes are level 3 or higher you can save your coupons for other things)

7. If you are just reaching the level 50s go and capture summons every day, the ideal way to do this is to fight every blue and purple summon once to get extra runes, and then once you have done that start farming the fragments each day for Blue ones you want, followed by purple ones you want, the reason why you want to fight them all once is because if you win one in a free summon pull, you'll miss out on that first time bonus fighting a summon.

8. Level up summoning runes, work on getting all lv 3s on all 3 summons and then start working on lv4s, don't start making level 4 runes until you have all lv3s on each summon, otherwise it's inefficient (only combine runes that equal to exactly the next level of rune, overfilling the exp bar on runes is a waste)

9. Save your seal scrolls, I promise you there's no good reason to use them on anything other than Kage treasure, or more importantly future treasures (Unless you are saving 400 to get Hashirama or Tendo)

10. Again as a reminder. Save your coupons, don't bother wasting them in Nine Tails, don't bother wasting them on resetting Black Market, use nothing, wait for events like Dice Board where you can amass Medium Refines/Medium threads which you'll need in other events

11. Refines, save low refines and Medium refines, save them, never bother using them until the refine rebate is happening, I personally like a well rounded team with equal refines but you can work on getting your Priority 1 character to Lv5/6/7 refines if you need to with the help of the rebate.

12. Threads become so tough to come by, you never want to rank up your Battle Armor unless the BA Rebate is happening, the Rank up rewards (Only applicable during the event) will help alot in getting you up an extra rank which adds power, be sure to do the highest difficulty Strong Approach you can access, each week, the fights are more of a puzzle and less about power.

13. Group Skills, always good to have, my method is to level each one up by 5 and to try to keep them all about the same level (Nin, Atk, HP, Def, Res, Life Regen are the more important ones)

Final Thoughts: These are just things I've been doing and it's been working very well, I'm having a great time playing and I feel like my patience gets rewarded doing things this way, however everyone has different opinions on what's best and you might find more efficient alternatives. In no real order here are some things that adjust your power.

Equipment - Clear Ninja Exam / Plot for the materials.

Group Skills - Attack / Ninjutsu should be the biggest boosters out of the stats, though go for balance

Summon Runes - Instead of upgrading all the runes on one summon to a high level fill all the slots between the three summons and upgrade them that way HUGE boost this way.

This is a pretty well done and easy to look at to understand guide on where the ninja tools you may need are located pre-brothers farewell team instance. (32k BP) On the same note, if you get dups of existing tools take a look at each of the tools bonus attributes such as Critical, Combo etc to see which you prefer. And try to match nature types with the stones as best you can for a further power boost.

Inner Eight Gates - Very costly however it is worth doing i neglected it for the longest time but coming back into it earning Purple and Yellow/Gold runes do give me a pretty fair boost.

Mood - Something i also overlooked for a vast majority of my leveling it's extremely useful and could honestly be a deciding factor in battles, for example i had +11% HP on Naruto when i was attempting ninja exam 119 the other day. I bumped it up to +25% health and he tanks everything thrown at him giving me the win.
Personally it's up to you which mood you prefer per ninja however if you go by their base growth whichever is going to be the lowest by default won't matter if its what you take -5% out from.

Refinement of the various sorts. Equipment refinement, purification, rune stones. Save your refines for the events in which they give you extra credit so you don't spend as many.

Lastly. Battle armour, i strongly advise if you're going to spend coupons on anything make it the thread. Cloth is very easy to earn from completing strong approach but thread seems like you never get enough once you start needing medium quality. plenty of guides on team for all the mains i'm sure.

That should cover the majority of things with at least some detail.
Group summon is negligible for a boost but thats a group effort not something you can do.
i may of missed something but thats generally about all you'll really need.
Character star levels / Cultivation / Awakening is all pretty much standard just make sure you save up enough coins to strengthen your equipment on a per level basis.
