Use the Lineup Simulator to find good teams without a main char. The simulator is your best friend for finding ways to test new ninjas you recruit. My current ranked teams are something like this (don't quote me, because I change them a lot)

This has changed in the past couple days but using the simulator will help make a great ranked team. I now use Ao, Kurotsuchi, and Suigetsu but I forget where I put them; I used this lineup from 60-79 with great efficiency.
