I got him +atk as I mainly use him in chase combos.
But he does seem really squishy, even when fully cultivated and awakened so you might want to go +hp on him

ningendo is easy, all of his damage comes from nin so if you want him to do damage there you go, but as far as pain scalings go his stats don't mean much for his damage, so I'd suggest going a tank build with +life - attack.

He scales super high with +Atk and his auto actually does a ton of damage. It is also water based, so that's +30% more damage against fire.

The problem with +Nin is thjat his mystery doesn't scale in damage and his chases scale so very poorly. His chases are used mainly for the acupuncture effect.
