GNW Kankuro's stat growth (from highest to lowest) is: Life, Defense, Attack, Resistance, and Ninjutsu.

My thoughts:
His primary role (to me, at least) is a combo starter and a tank as well, though he c*so provide a fair amount of afflictions. The Sasori puppet seems decently tanky, which is a good improvement over the regular 3* Kankuro's squishier puppet. I'm pretty sure he mostly outclasses regular Naruto as well. However, as with the other Kankuro, he's pretty feeble without the puppet, and he relies pretty heavily on its existence to be competent in a team. As such, the puppet's taunt *might* be a detriment to him, so use it wisely...

What are your thoughts on this ninja? How would you compare him to other combo starters, such as GNW Kiba or Sai?

  • I don't think he is a tank. but for water teams he is a must have. much better then naruto and kiba keep the pupit safe for high damge combos that is all I have to say.
In hindsight, yeah, I agree - he doesn't work as well as a tank.

  • A word of warning, he may be changing in later updates to our version of the game. The german version changed his mystery to ninjutsu damage and removed poison, his knock to low chase also lost poison and is now 2x per round. Dunno if puppet has tanking passive anymore, but he does give 20 chakra each time he chases.

    In short, he will give a decent bit of chakra, but unless he's mooded for ninjutsu his damage is going to suffer, possibly quite hard.
