Considering that you have 3 summon slots and only need to tie one to ranked and can swap in another, the only time this matters is when you:
have 3 gold summon
ranked is not using one of those (for combo reasons)
main pvp or whatever activity IS using one of those, and selects the two other gold for stat * (so you have to remove the ranked one from line up to optimize)

That's such an edge case....
I mean I'm not opposed to the idea, but such edge case, not sure if it's worth the development time when it impacts so few...
