Do your clones get shields from Iruka's buff? If they do and you still get killed, its possible that the stats of my Iruka were higher than yours from mood, maga, refines, or another strengthening system. I have members in my group who have gotten past 117 with this guide, so I know it does work - but maybe it's a BP issue or timing. Regardless, you could always plop Hinata in place of Iruka to attract the Lightning Main's standard attacks that first round.

yeah I do have shield on all clones, but lightning main crit is just insane. But anyway I passed 117-120 yesterday with blazex's fire main guides

How about a exam 90 strategy, that does not involve any pains and still works? Guy, Lee, Asuma WB does not work, they don't combo good of each other and even fully awakend and with mood and stuff, they still fail out in taking out sasori in the first round and Kisame is the bigger threat with his samehada...

Never mind. I just managed to complete it.
Formation i used was:

Kazekage Garaa - Sage Naruto - X
WM - Iruka - X

with talents 31231 summon Giant Katsuyu
Yes i know, Sage Naruto is also something that not all have. But this worked fine for me Sasori down after first Rasen Shuriken.

Thank you for the guide! Helped me through NE 103 to 110 :) Do you have *ternative for Mei though? I'm currently stuck on NE 110 without her.

119 does not work as advertised, sage naruto is blinded 100% of the times (only 2 males)
That said, wind clone can proc the chase thus do the expected damage, won with the suggested team as a result. Still....

I was able to clear 120 with the same team w/ 42k power. Turn 1 iruka interrupt hashi (AFTER earth main interrupt is casted)
turn 2 dance into mei on jiraya, this will prevent it from gathering chakra for tobi. (dance first to remove para)
turn 3 iruka to draw earth main's interrupt, then naruto tobirama to put him under.
turn 4 mei whatever, they should be dead by end of turn

Exam 114 doesn't not work as advertised either. Water main has a clone that gives the 20 chakra for round 2 Tobirama if Jiraiya is cc'd. Also causes chaos with poison mist on at least 2 ninja.

tobi's not have combo again after update 2.0

Any idea for exam 114 without Mei? I'm kinda unlucky, 3 rares and Mei is none XD

It's RNG I think, unfortunately. Another groupmate used the same strategies as I did for exam 118-120, but he did have to try doing it a few times until he got the ideal scenario. I'm sorry it didn't work you for you, but it seems like you managed to get through to beat 120, so congratulations!

This guide was made before the 2.0 update, so I can't help you there unfortunately. I do suggest a list of substitutes somewhere earlier in this thread, I believe...

So, again, this is probably a combination of two things: unlucky RNG, and perhaps not enough BP. I can't say much if it doesn't work for you - I found that this worked for me, and I wanted to share the strategies I used in hopes that it could help other people. I'm sorry that the strategy didn't work for you, but I had to spend hours working my way through all the exams because the guides on the forums/Youtube are for SB/CF/MB. Lots of my strategies were based on pure luck and were the result of multiple failed attempts, so I can't say much for the success rate of any of these strategies.

If my guide doesn't work, you could always switch mains and follow the guides that have been tried and tested, or make your own guide that works better than mine! I encourage it, in fact :) I'd like to see more Wind Main guides for Ninja Exam 100+, especially if someone else can do a guide with all free ninja.

Answered this a bit earlier, but I'll copy my answer here:

The key for using Mei is for 1) chasing knockdown to lowfloat, and 2) her acupuncture on said chase. Looking over the options, I'd say that you can make a few ninja work, but you'll have to switch out Iruka for someone like Hinata for the interrupt/acupuncture if the character you substitute doesn't have that. Here are some ideas - I've bolded the ninja that would probably be the most viable/the most commonly used.

- Ao: chases knockdown to repulse, causes acupuncture on chase (using Ao means that you'll need to probably change around the team a bit, switch Iruka/Hinata for a different combo initiator)
- Jiraiya (Sannin War) OR Jiraiya (Sage Mode): chases knockdown to low float (extra chakra!)
- Kankuro OR GNW Kankuro: chases knockdown to low float, causes poisoning on chase (the debuffs!)
- Gakido Pein: chases knockdown to low float, triggered twice in a round (using Gakido means you could switch your Wind Main's talents to act as a damage dealer instead of as a support role)
- Tobi: chases knockdown to low float, causes ignition
- Sasori: chases knockdown to low float, causes poisoning (debuffs are key here)
- Ukon Sakon: chases knockdown to low float, causes ignition

No, it's due to the 2.0 change, which apprentally also affected NPCs. 2.0 wind main blind, which is what I'm talking about, hits 3 male ninjas at start of the battle. The formation you gave only have 2 male ninja, there is no RNG involved.....

The RNG is, as I've also mentioned, on clone procing the chain instead, which to be honest is entirely the same thing in the long run as far as I can see.

Welp, I guess that answers that. Glad I added 2.0 into the title, hopefully people will take these strategies with a grain of salt now. Still, somehow a few people made it work, so who knows? Maybe you should post your strategies in a new thread so there's some renewed hope for Wind Mains in 2.0 Ninja Exam.
